Question????

Sooo, I've only been working for 8 months since I've graduated from college, and people consistantly tell me that I need years of work experience to make it financially. Am I wrong, or do I read about every day entrepreneuers that have little to no work experience and make millions either doing what they love or doing what they did on their job, but for themselves????

Sir Norm...it is quite messed up that our educational system teaches us how to work for others and not ourselves. I wonder the same thing you posted. I'll use this example to show my way of thinking with regards to your post:

During the California Gold Rush, many gold-seekers moved there to become rich off the gold. The end result was that only a few made large gains. Yet there were others who capitalized off the gold rush without having to mine. They were the people who sold the thousands of picks and shovels to prospectors!!

Fear of going against the grain is a great issue. I think that we see a few prosper by climbing the corporate ladder and feel that's the only way to get to a certain level of wealth. Going against the grain can be a good thing though! We fail to realize the other opportunities right in front of our eyes, specifically making use of our talents for ourselves!! We must make sure we do not become complacent and settle into forever "mining for gold" but make it a priority to examine other legit avenues that can lead to greater prosperity.

Mr. Norm I feel and understand what your saying but I am kind of thinking in this fashion. See its all about numbers, most people will have to work everday of their life to make it but there are few individuals that become financially sound doing what they want. If that was the case we all would be rich. Alot of people can play basketball but only a few make it to the pros. Also most people dont have the time or the capital to just sit back and figure out what their good at and how can the make millions doing it.
